Arbor Day
This is a very special date on our calendar. It is a day when young and old are encouraged to plant and care for trees. It usually happens on the final Friday in April.  The customary observance is to plant a tree. On the first Arbor Day, April 10, 1872, an estimated one million trees were planted.
